Key information
Pace, split, treadmill and race-strategy calculators.
First define units, input range and the purpose of the calculation. Record results under comparable conditions so comparisons remain useful. One number cannot describe an entire run: surface, weather, elevation, fatigue and health can change the interpretation.
Example
A runner can calculate pace from a recent result, create splits and then save the actual session in the log. After several attempts, the comparison includes both time and notes about conditions.
Common mistake
Treating a prediction or arithmetic plan as a guarantee. Calculators organise numbers but cannot diagnose fatigue, injury or physical readiness.
Next step
Choose the right tool and review the methodology before making a training decision.
